Blurred Glass Tutorial
For this tutorial you will need:
PSP 9 or higher
A tube of your choice
The tube in this image is from the artwork of ŠKate Honarvar and can be purchased from
pcCrafter.com
No outside filters or plugins are needed
Open your tube, duplicate and close the original.
Pick two colors from your tube.
Resize tube so no side is larger than 350
Image>Canvas Size> 400x450, placement is the center.
Duplicate this image, minimize the copy for now.
Working with the original copy - Layers duplicate 2 times (you should have a total of 3 layers)
Highlight the bottom layer.
Adjust>Blur>Gaussian Blur>50
Effects>Image Effects>Seamless Tiling>Mirror
Highlight the middle layer.
Effects>Texture Effects>Mosaic Glass>with these settings
Effects>Image Effects>Seamless Tiling>Mirror
Highlight top layer.
Add drop shadow of your choice
Layers>Merge Visible
Add any text/accents you would like.
Layers>Add a New Layer>apply your watermark.
Minimize for now.
Open the Duplicated Copy of the tube.
Adjust>Blur>Gaussian Blur>50
Effects>Image Effects>Seamless Tiling>default
Layers>Add a new layer
Flood fill with one of your colors
Layers>Arrange>Send to the bottom.
Merge>Merge Visible
Effects>Texture Effects>Mosaic Glass>with these settings
Minimize this image - it will be our background pattern.
Open the original image.
Image>Canvas Size>1450x450, placement is the left center arrow
Layers>Add a new layer
Flood fill with the pattern we just made, Angle-0, Scale-100
Effects>Image Effects>Seamless Tiling>Mirror
Lower the opacity of this layer to make it text friendly (I set mine between 50-60%)
File>Export>JPEG Optimizer>15-20%
Assemble in Letter Creator.
